The only other issue we’ll point out is that this suet feeder only accommodates smaller songbirds—in fact, the small openings in the cage are designed to deter “bully-bird” species. The trouble is, woodpeckers are one of the most common suet feeders, and they aren’t any more aggressive at feeders than most of their smaller songbird counterparts. We think it’s a pity that this feeder does not allow access to woodpeckers and other larger suet-feeding birds.
